2018 - LEXUS NX

Lexus presents the refurbished NX at the Shanghai Motor Show. In addition to the new front grille graphics and the new headlights with three projectors, the SUV benefits from further detail changes, specifically in the front bumper, which now includes some of the elements found on the grille, while the 18-inch wheels have been redesigned and appear more aggressive. Inside, a larger central screen emerges, rising from 7.0 to 10.3 inches. Also new are the buttons that control the entire central screen part and entertainment functions. The analog clock itself, inserted into the center console, has been redesigned and becomes larger. The wireless charger grew in size and the USB ports were repositioned. In mechanical terms there are no changes, with the NX being available in a hybrid version with full-power option, with a 2.5-liter petrol engine running in conjunction with an electric motor, generating 197 hp. The petrol version has a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The Japanese brand also announces the inclusion of new insulation materials, which reduces the noise that reaches the passenger compartment. Lexus also announces the introduction of improvements at dodge truck car covers.

2018 – LEXUS NX 300h SPORT EDITION

If the design of the Lexus NX is characterized by something, it is because it is modern and avant-garde. Updated at the end of last year, the Japanese brand’s D-segment crossover now enhances its sportiness with a special edition that adds detail to enhance that quality. The new Lexus NX 300h Sport Edition, which will also be available in the markets of Eastern Europe, will feature a special finish of the front grille in the shape of an arrow and painted in black, the same treatment for the carcasses of the rearview mirrors.

The lightweight alloy wheels are unique, 18 inches in diameter and a final finish that varies depending on the destination market, with a treatment that combines dark and bright tones or are painted in dark color and bronze, equipment that also adds darkened rear windows , front and rear guards and side stirrups. The interior of the NX Sport Edition comes in full black, a color directly associated with sportiness, with a Tahara leather upholstery and white details if the option is by the level of ‘Business’ equipment or fabric in the ‘Comfort’ . Optionally, the Japanese brand proposes two other options of colors to choose, between black or dark pink with decorative inserts in silver. In fact, the new special edition is a design package that will be offered exclusively in the ‘Comfort’ and ‘Business’ finishing levels of the NX 300h version in all European markets, as well as in the Eastern European markets that enjoy other mechanical combustion versions, with the most basic NX 200 and the most powerful and turbo NX 300t. This special edition has already been offered in the first stage of commercial life of the crossover and will be available again next month, although for now Lexus has not yet communicated prices or the exact date of availability.

2018 – LEXUS RC 300h F-SPORT BLACK EDITION

The Lexus UX will undoubtedly be the great new feature that the Japanese brand will present to the public during the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. However, Lexus will take advantage of this world-class showcase to introduce other equally remarkable innovations, although they are not international in nature due to the limited where they will be available. This is the case with the new Lexus RC 300h F Sport Black Edition. Taking as a starting point the F Sport finish level of the hybrid version of the Lexus RC, the Japanese brand has created an interesting special edition highlighting the most characteristic features of its well-known sports coupe. After making different visual adjustments both in the exterior and in the interior, you get an image with a sinister touch, but nevertheless, elegant and sporty.

As the name suggests, the new Lexus RC 300h F Sport Black Edition features a wealth of detail and black finishes. The bodywork features a metallic ‘Graphite Black’ finish that fits nicely with the F Sport 19-inch frosted black alloy wheels. Some exterior elements such as the front grille feature a dark chrome finish. If we take a look inside, we notice a cabin where the black leather on the seats and the steering wheel helps create a cozy and comfortable environment. The orange stitching of the upholstery offers a very interesting contrast. On the other hand, and not least, stands out the standard equipment with which it is equipped. Recalling that part of the base of the F Sport finish. Among its equipment are the Mark Levinson audio equipment with 17 speakers, the 10.3 inch screen for the infotainment system, sunroof, LED headlights and the safety system package and the Lexus Safety System + driving. The Lexus RC 300h F Sport Black Edition will continue to be propelled by the same hybrid mechanics that revolve around a 2.5-liter gasoline engine that works with a small electric motor. In combination, the system produces a total output of 223 hp and 221 Nm. It announces CO2 emissions of 111 g / km. The Lexus RC 300h F Sport Black Edition is now available from Lexus dealers in the UK. Its starting price will be 45,165 pounds (202,900 reais).

2018 – LEXUS RX 450h BUSINESS PLUS

Last week, Lexus introduced exciting new features in the line of its hybrid mechanics SUV. A change focused directly on the professional world, since it refers to the specific finishing for professionals. The Business Finish will no longer be available on the Lexus RX 450h line to enter the new Business Plus termination instead. The big difference between both finishes is that the Business Plus offers a more complete series equipment. Of course, the increase in equipment is reflected in the price of the Lexus RX 450h, which has increased by a few thousand euros for a few elements that possibly will not be demanded among fleet customers. In addition to all the equipment offered by the Business finish, the brand decided to add different types of elements such as triple headlights with LED daytime running lights, roof rails, Nano-e air filter and 235/65 R18 tires.

The most relevant equipment offered by Lexus in the new level of Business Plus finishes features: triple headlights and daytime running lights with LED technology; front and rear parking sensors; darkened glasses for privacy maintenance; automatic road light system (AHB); rain sensor; ceiling rails; LED taillights; rear fog lights; electrically foldable, folding and heated rear-view mirrors; 18-inch alloy wheels Business Plus with 235/65 R18 tires; involuntary band change alert; ramp start assistant; adaptive cruise control; electronic traction control; selector of driving modes (Eco, Normal and Sport); tire pressure control; rear view camera; Lexus Media Display with 8.0-inch screen; recognition of traffic signals; dual zone electronic climate control; electric rear view mirror; Smart Entry smart key system; steering wheel and leather-lined shift lever and fabric upholstery. On the other hand Lexus takes advantage of the arrival of the new Business Plus finish to introduce the new CO2 emissions figures in relation to the WLTP cycle. The brand ensures that it remains within limits. As for the mechanical part, there is no news as the Lexus RX 450h Business Plus will continue to be powered by a hybrid system with Lexus Hybrid Drive technology. It combines a 3.5-liter petrol V6 engine with two small electric motors to develop a total output of 313 hp. The Lexus SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds.

2018 – LEXUS RX 450h SPORT

Lexus enhances its luxury SUV’s offerings with the RX Sport version, providing the car with body details that increase sportiness over modern design. The new Sport finish also comes with a new, more economical petrol version in price, the RX 300, which adds to the already available RX 350 and the hybrid RX 450h, and that will be available from February 2018. The Sport finish is already offered in other models of the line, such as the Lexus CT, IS and NX, differentiating itself from the rest of the finishes of the line RX by the wheels of alloy of 20 inches in design of five double rays painted of black and by the exterior rear-view mirrors painted in that same color.

The front is presented with a specific design of the L-finesse grid in a sequence of horizontal chrome bars with the edges of the black-painted antinebline lights, while in the rear highlights the new diffuser, also painted black, creating attractive contrast with the body color chosen by the customer. No changes are made in the interior except a new leather and fabric upholstery exclusive to this Sport version and the Pioneer 9-speaker system and 8.0-inch Lexus Media display – with twelve speakers if equipped with the Lexus screen 12.3-inch Media Display – one more element of the complete Lexus RX Sport series equipment.  With this finish, active safety equipment improves greatly thanks to the Lexus Safety System + driver’s assistants, which includes functions such as the maintenance and change-over assistant – able to ‘see’ both white and yellow asphalt lines – adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection system and traffic signal recognition function. It also features High Beam LED headlamps that feature a camera inside the headlamps that detect the light beams of vehicles driving in the opposite direction and switches from high to low lights and vice versa so as not to overshadow the other drivers.

2018 – LEXUS RX L

One of the main novelties that Lexus had prepared for the Los Angeles Show 2017 is already a reality. The commented and expected seven-seat version of the Lexus RX was introduced. The new Lexus RX L 2018 has been revealed to the American public as an option for larger families and who wish to purchase the Premium SUV. At first glance it appears with a very familiar design, since the people of Lexus decided to be more practical than innovator. That is, it is inevitable to overlook the detail of the ‘C’ pillar painted black to create the floating roof feel. Due to the size of the shape created with black paint, it has become one of the most characteristic traits of the model. Lexus designers were able to enter the third row of seats, since the rear of the vehicle was increased by 110 mm. On the other hand, the rear cover has also been modified to offer as much space as possible to the occupants of the seats that make up the third row. The brand highlights the convenience offered by these places. The Lexus RX L 2018 arrives fitted as standard with the third row of seats, an important detail, since other models with these features usually offer it optionally. The second row consists of a bank divided by 40/20/40, although optionally it is possible to opt for a configuration of six places in layout 2 + 2 + 2. In this case, you will have two individual banks in the second row.

Other highlights in the standard equipment of the new Lexus RX L 2018 are the electric rear cover, as well as a leather upholstery for the seats in the first two rows. It will also feature a three-zone climate control and an 8.0-inch multimedia screen for the infotainment system, although in higher finishes it increases the size by up to 12.3 inches. Mechanically the offer will consist of two versions: 350 L and 450 h L. The first one uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 294 hp, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will be offered in front and full wheel configuration. The second option passes through the conventional hybrid version (HEV). The central axis of the Lexus RX 450h L is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that works in combination with two electric motors generators to produce a total power of 313 hp. This version will come standard with a full traction configuration and equips a nickel metal hydride battery of 37 kW. In the United States, the new Lexus SUV will be available from the end of this year, but to see it in other markets will need to wait until 2018. It is very likely that the brand will show the RX L at the next Geneva Motor Show 2018 in March with its configurations for the European market.
